Panaji: After two days exposition of the holy Padukas (sacred footwear) of Shree Sai Baba in the state capital city of Panaji, they (the holy Padukas) left for their abode - Shirdi Sausthan in Maharashtra.

Prakash Parsekar / DNA The exposition, first of its kind outside Maharashtra, was attended by around 75,000 Sai devotees begining from wee hours of Sunday.

A huge pendal was erected at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) ground here. People from all walks of life, came for a glimpse of the Padukas, which are one amongst the three pairs wore by the saint.

"Two other pairs are at Shirdi Saunsthan... One is kept at the museum while another is periodically brought out for darshan every Thursday," Ashok Khambekar, Shirdi Sausthan's Trustee, told reporters here.

He said that the Padukas were brought out of the state 90 years after the saint gained samadhi in 1918.

"These Padukas will be carried all across the country. On March one, we will hold exposition of the Padukas at Raipur followed by Kolkatta on March 5," Khambekar said.

Goa chief minister Digamber Kamat had welcomed the Padukas on Saturday when they arrived in the state's Northern border at Patradevi.

Baba's Love for devotees.

Sai Baba always allows devotees to serve and no one is allowed to interfere in this matter.Once Venubai Kaojlagi known as Mausi Bai was messaging the Baba's stomach with force, seeing it other devotees asked her," Maa! please press the stomach of Baba's slowly, doing like it will break the veins and intestine of Baba." Before they could complete it Baba got up from the assan, his eyes were red with anger. Who has the courage to stop him? He put the satka with his both hands on his stomach and other end on the ground and started pressing hard, satka was almost 3feet long and it appeared it will make a hole and enter Baba's body. All the people were very afraid of it.Baba was getting stronger and getting nearer and all were afraid if may enter the stomach. All were stunned. They were standing like a group of dumb due to astonishment and fear. Infect devotees were willing to indicate Mausi Bai to do the service with politeness. No was willing to harm Baba.Devotees has done in the light of their love for Baba, but do not like interference of others in such things. Devotees were upset that somthing done in good-sence, how it resulted inversely, but they can't do anything except being on-lookers.By the grace of luck Baba's anger came down, leaving the satka, he again sat on his assan.

Devotees learnt now that they will not interfere in others and allow others to serve Baba as thier wish. Only Baba is perfect to value the service.

Sai Baba's communication with his devotees.

M.B. Rege was one of the favoured devotees of Sai baba, relating his reminiscences of Sai baba to Narasimha Swamiji he said,"I look upon Baba as the Creator, Preserver, and Destroyer, HE had no limitations. I thought of Him as a mental or spiritual image in which the finite and the infinite is blended perfectly and yet allowing the finite to appear before us at times.

There are three ways in which the Sai Baba communicates with his devotees. The First was the active waking state: when the devotees are in the difficulties or Baba wanted him to take particular course, the devotee got an inspiration on what course should be taken and the feeling that the inspiration came from Baba. This happened in Rege's case. When he was in Radhakrishna Ayi's house he would feel that Baba called him and would go to the Dwarka Mai and find Baba was in fact waiting for him. The Second method related to the sleeping or trance state. Baba would appear in a dream or a trance, This is called 'Sakshatkara' and considered most impressive and unmistakable. In the 'Third' method Baba asked his devotee to go to some person, who would infact not even know why the devotee was sent to him, but who nevertheless helped the person in accordance with the Baba's internal and unperceived guidance. Some times the person to whom the devotee was sent was totally seems unfit to help, for instance, in the case of the rustic girl to whom Das Ganu was sent for the interpreting the Isa Upanishad. Sai Baba was conservative and impartial in his religious views asking all devotees to keep to their own religion and not to interfere with others' religions. He discouraged intolerance in every form. To him Allah and Vithal were the same as of other saints. Baba said once," Untruth I have never uttered before and nor will I utter it at any time."
